About Acts 2One

Welcome to Acts2One. This blog is, dedicated to the birthday of the Church in Christ. Few people know what Pentecost is and understand its significance, even less.  Here, as a Christian, I will try to set the record straight, in what might appear to be, in non-Christian ways. Happily Ever After Birthday! 🙂

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”

Acts 2:1 KJV

From God’s perspective (from eternity- no beginning and no ending), the day of Pentecost had been coming, even before all that He created first, in the Book of Genesis. It took over thousands of years for humanity to be ready to receive it. It finally came now, over two thousand years ago. Are you and I ready to receive it? And receive what? Acts2One, this blog is, all about the birthday of the church. It could be about your birthday if, you become a Christian. And it could be a re-knowing about, what exactly we got or get as presents, with our birthday. This is, your party!

Much of what I was taught as a child and in growing up at home and in our so-called church was, later to be found to be void of authority. In other words, much of what I was taught was, never in the Bible, upon which, it was supposed to be based. Well, if it’s not based on the scriptures, then by sheer logic, it must be based on something else. Most Christian “religions” teach nearly all the same things, the same things, which are NOT, found in the scriptures. Yes, I wrote, “Christian religions” because, this is what they are.

“But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Matthew 15:9 KJV (King James Version)

To understand the above more clearly, finish this sentence by filling in the missing words—

“The truth will — you —-.

The odds are greatly in my favor that whether you are a Christian, Jew, Muslim, some other religion, an atheist or an agnostic, you have probably heard this line many times and you probably completed the sentence as follows—

“The truth will set you free.”

The problem with this line is— it does NOT appear in the Bible— Ever and Never! It is based on—

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall MAKE you free.”

John 8:32

Semantics? Just a alternative word? What difference does it make? This book is either just a book or it’s God Word. If it is God Word, then He meant what he said and said what He meant. If we go around using the word “will” when it uses the word “shall” and the word “set” when it says, “make,” then it is impossible for any of us to be free, according to scripture! And this verse is not just a stand-alone verse. It must be understood and applied in its proper context.

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;”

John 8:31 KJV

So, to be absolutely (“shall” – absolute tense as opposed to “will” – perhaps) made free, we must first continue in His Word. Then we become disciples (disciplined in knowing and doing the word) and then, we (“shall” – absolute tense as opposed to “will” – perhaps) know (not guess) the truth and the truth shall (“shall” – absolute tense as opposed to “will” – perhaps) absolutely make us free!

I do not believe that Christianity is a religion to be grouped along with any other or all the other world religions! It is NOT a religion! It is, a belief, but it is NOT a religion! It is the way of a father with his children. The Bible is therefore, His household book, for believing and practice. And the thing is, not only does God expect you to question, but to search for the answers! Never does it say a single time in the Bible, about accepting anything by faith! God knows we doubt, worry and have fear and he knows the integrity of His Word. If we will search His Word and not customs, traditions, religions, commandments of men and etc., He knows His word has the power to make us free. And He often says— “prove me!” Yes, God and His Word offer “proofs,” of what we say and believe is the truth. Proof? Proofs? What are those proofs?

Now, you might think that I am “preaching to the choir” here? I don’t know who the choir is. I don’t know what you believe or don’t. I am not here and this blog does not exist to prove anything. That is not my authority, area of expertise or my responsibility! I don’t have to prove anything! I just have to be a witness. You know what a witness is! A witness is, just someone that “was there” and can give a eye-witness account, of the things they witnessed. So, if you want to criticize me or argue with me or prove me wrong, that’s your job. Just know this, I have been a witness for over 40 years, so you better know what you’re talking about, if you wish to discredit my ‘expert’ testimony. I’m Not bragging, that’s a fact! This blog does not exist to criticize anyone or anything except, for ignorance and stupidity. Ignorance and stupidly have simple solutions—instruction or get the knowledge and just stop acting stupid. And many Christians including myself, have acted ignorantly and stupidly. It does not help our witness, when we can’t even count to three as in, “three days and three nights” and then call them parts of days and nights, from ‘Good Friday’ until early Easter Morning. What kind of stupid math is that?

In general, people have lost the art of reading. We invent and make up stuff. We add, change and delete stuff. We use abbreviations in our communications on our digital devices like: LOL, OMG, ROTFLMAO, WTF and etc. We’re busy and to save time, we have a tendency to think we can actually conserve time or make time with url shortners and abbreviations, and things like, “the truth will set you free.” And so-called Christians have certainly lost, the art of reading, exactly what is written. Why is this so important to read and to read what— exactly what is written?

Here is the whole purpose of this ‘About Pentecost’ page and this blog. If the scriptures are true and we continue in them (to search and to do them) then we are disciplined and then, “[We] shall know the truth and the truth shall make [Us] free!”  And there shall be proofs! Contrary to what you may have heard or believe, it’s proofs or signs, miracles and wonders that are God’s advertising program to the world. If we are NOT seeing these proofs (signs, miracles and wonders) daily or at least on a regular basis, we aint’ promoting the right stuff! It all circles back to the Word again— the right word and words from His Word.

From a former investigative reporter, I refer back to journalism 101 and advise you to apply the same basics: who – what – where – when – why – how and To whom was it written, said, and intended for, in the Bible? Was it even ever written in the Bible?

I may or may not use other translations, other than the King James Version of the Bible in this blog. I may or I may not even use scriptural references. I may or I may not use other materials, other than the King James Version hereafter, just referred to as— KJV. I may not post every day. I may post things with or without pictures. Posts may be “short and sweet” olr they may be long reads (like this about page). But I promise you two things:

1. I will post
2. I am a witness

I don’t have to prove a thing to you. You do! You prove it to yourself. And then, if you still have a mind to, prove God is wrong. Be bigger than God to dispute him. You prove that you know what He really meant when He said what he said. To me, that would be like you trying to prove that my name is not Dahni, I am not male and I am not married. Good luck with that! You do have free will. But IF this is possible, you are going to have to actually know what is written, not what someone has said or that you have read that someone wrote or said and etc., but what exactly was written! And this is not just a requirement (not optional or negotiable), for those that do not believe or are not sure, but for anyone that does believe or professes, confesses and addresses others that they believe!

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

II Timothy 2:15, KJV

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Acts 17:11, KJV

Me? I’m just a witness. Have a problem with me? Take it up with my management! 🙂
